That BP were able to do what they did because congress capped their liablity at $75m
The tokyo nuclear plants were built with govt grants/guaranteed loans and insured by Japanese government
Economic bubble was caused by low interest rates set by the Federal reserve when investors gambled with govt insured (FDIC, SEC, US treasury implied bailouts) money.
You may not like it, but bad government is worse than the so called free market and bad govt is what we have had for the last few decades. Reagan started it and George Bust tried to finish us off with it.
