Obama spent 45 seconds of the 4 minutes (which doesn't constitute the "much" you speak of) talking about ending oil subsidies. I applaud his efforts in this respect and I hope Congress votes to end the above. I'm not optimistic, however.

As far as clean energy, I'm ready, right now, to have some solar panels installed on my roof. Oh, and I'll take a wind turbine in my back yard, thank you. The US govt. could install solar panels on every home in the US for what we spend in one week pursuing the never-ending WOT.

There are creative ways this country could be moved toward energy independence, NOW. But all we ever hear is talk.

You seem to think that telling the president to walk the talk is "bashing". I disagree.
