First, I think that "I wasn't born yet..." sounded snarky, like she was calling them all old. Kudos to Begala for coming back with a smart answer. Then the pathetic, "I'm just the blonde..." what nonesense. Katty Kay (the other female guest) is blonde too. I mean, you do something goofy with your friends and want to go, "Yeah, I'm blonde" well, fine. But when you go on a semi-serious discussion panel don't make lame excuses (age, gender, etc) for being unprepared. Or, if you do use it you have to sound like you're making a joke about your own folly.

You want to fire back about at Begala's comment? Don't make it personal. Reagan was elected almost 30 years ago. Most of the young voters weren't alive then or were too young to pay attention to politics. Make that the point not an excuse.
