18. The other day I was discussing Obama's approach to the presidency, and his
choice of Rahm as his "enforcer", so to speak. I'd contended that Obama preferred not to be confrontational verbally, but would just go his own sweet way, anyway - whatever anybody else, Republican or Democrat, thought. And Rahm is going to "get it done". So the other poster said, yes, what he called "the good policeman - bad policeman" thing.

Well, I had thought of it in terms of Mutt and Jeff, but didn't like the implication regarding Obama, so dismissed it. And yesterday it occurred that, wittingly or unwittingly, he'd stepped into the breach, himself, without any qualms. It's different like that, so I'm happy with the Mutt and Jeff thang now.
