1. I'm a former Union member.
CWA to be precise.

While working. I suffered an injury to my back. Since I was working for Pacific Bell on an 11 month temp basis, they terminated me at once.

The CWA local fought for me, got me the medical help I needed, offered me the food bank, got me my back pay, made sure I could get rehired at Pacific Bell if needed, and that retraining for me was offered.

I have not worked in a Union enviroment since then. But I will be damned before I ever say anything bad about a Union - or cross a picket line.
