"Not alienating the public" is a position that would have us still "enjoying" slavery." Not alienating the public" would have women still not being able to vote, and still being chattel under the ownership of their male "betters."

And in this particular instance, the public is probaby way ahead of you. Most of "the public" is against the war -- do you REALLY think they're going to object to a grieving mom "reminding" the Dems of what they were swept into office to do? I don't. Not for one minute.

Finally, I posted this in a different thread. You may want to ponder it at length. It couldn't be more true:
