Hussein was installed with considerable help from the CIA, and kept his power only with American help. He has long been intimately involved with leaders of the Current Regime, particularly Rumsfeld and Cheney. Then there is the fact that The Gipper and Poppy supplied him with the chemical weapons that allowed him to commit the mass murders for which he has been condemned, with knowledge beforehand as to how said weapons would be used.

If any of this were to come out in a way the MSM could not ignore, the entire Regime, not to mention most of the still living members of the Reagan and Bush I administrations (as if there was a difference) would perforce have to be convicted as accessories if not co-conspirators. Hussein's trial, conviction and speedy execution is a desperate butt-saving move by the Regime, start to finish.
