Is respect for parent's wishes or a well behaved child that listens to the parent's requests something I'm supposed to find appalling now?
There are tons of products out there for children that illustrate and magnify the message of respecting/obeying parents. It is of course a good message and I'm perplexed as to what you find disgusting about it (unless you think it appropriate for children not to listen to their parents, and run around like little maniacs and brats).
