Even nice people get into situations that are way waaay beyond them. GWB appealed to something in a lot of voters, probably the overwhelmed-by-it-all-but-barking-loudly aspect of him.

Some people's idea of an ordinary or dim guy who's scrappy anyway...
Now we all know that it makes a very lousy idea for a President, one particularly known for bad ideas, bad advice, and bad judgement.

We should---as soon as possible---return W and his pals to the bucolic country lifestyle that claim, the very heartland for which they sacrifice so many native sons.
