with 10 being we win both houses in a landslide and 1 being bush gains more seats?

right now, i'm going with a 7. the trends are going our way, allen just made his race competitive and the GOP will have to spend money to protect their supposed '08 contender. brown is holding strong against dewine(assuming no hijinks from blackwell stick), the recnt terror threats don't seem to be scaring people in the least.

i'm optimistic, but the races are so jerrymandered that the deck is stacked against us. and lieberman is doing his damndest to fuck things up in connecticut.

still, bush is poison to his party and i think the house going our way is guaranteed with the senate odds at 50-50. much better than i felt a month or two ago.
