2. Gas has fallen partly because oil prices have dropped
And oil has dropped because the Israel-Lebanon crisis is starting to cool off. It dropped $3 a barrel today. It will drop some more tomorrow. The fear was that the war would expand into Syria and Iran which would directly effect the supply of oil.

If the shooting starts again, the prices will jump back up. Otherwise they will keep dropping.
