13. That's why the attack on net neutrality is so serious
The internet, with it's disintermediated sharing of information, is the last, best hope for freedom and democracy. But every fascist knows that too, and they work in dark rooms to limit what's possible here.

Right now, though, places like DU are like free speech zones, places away from the public spectacle where the powers that be let us play, all the while likely watching and cataloguing us in case we bubble over into real impact. They always have the Halliburton contingency (camps) if we get out of hand.
