Reply #20: This Is Beyond Impechment, It's Criminal...Impeachment Is Political

People feel as though impeachment would be some do-all end-all to the Repugnican party or somehow reverse the 2000 and 2004 elections and turn the clock back. Sorry, not gonna happen and isn't what really is what we're facing here.

I need not go into the impossibilities of even getting impeachment resolutions introduced into the Judiciary Committee yet alone a vote on the House and Senate floors. That's where only super sold Democratic majorities could make it happen...and even if there was a massive Democratic landslide this November, by the time investigations and articles were introduced, the 2008 election is starting to kick into gear.

Repugnicans love the impeachment game as it plays into the "boooosh hate" meme that is one of the very few they can use to rally the dwindling Repugnican base...and an overall concept that a majority of Americans really don't favor. No one wants to relive the circus that surrounded the Clinton inquisition (and it backfired on the Repugnicans)...a boooosh impeachment would create a similar backlash that would turn political and personal and away from the criminality involved.

Sadly, the crimes of this regime also won't end the day they are ejected from the White House. The many criminal acts they've pulled upon the world and American people will take years to play out. It's the private civil and criminal suits and international tribunals that will should and will ultimately determine this cabal's place in history.
