17. The house was built in 1914
and was remodeled somewhere along the way by a troop of particularly stupid gorillas. It looks like they pulled the plaster off the lathing in the master bedroom and hung drywall over it. It's got a gaping hole my wife really wants me to fix. I've got to climb into the attack and look at the feasibility of putting a light tube or two down into the kitchen. In a few years we're going to do a major remodel, but for the moment it's just going to be a touch up here and a touch-up there. I'm learning as I go, and having to fight tooth and nail for any tool my wife doesn't immediately see the need for...LOL. I need to put gutters up (the original WOOD gutters were on the house, now they're not so much...)

My major downfall is I'm arachnaphobic...so I'm terrified of the half-basement and the attic in general. If I could get hazmat gear or a spacesuit to climb up or down there in I'd be happy. LOL
