154. I'l play the devil's advocate here. I don't know the sender of the email,
needless to say ----- uh, so, no one thought what the horrible woman sent to the poster's friend was funny? I guess my sense of humor is a tad warped then. The 'tell' in the beginning is the word "terrorists," which implies, to me anyway, that the bit is about why anyone would opt to blow themselves to smithereens. They may be aiming for the infidels but they take many of their own people with them ----- except those terrorists who get on a bus full of Israeli's or hijack an American airplane etc. No one here has ever thought that they were lunatics to do such things? Is their culture such that they kamikaze themselves as did Japanese pilots in WW II? Do you know anyone, personally, who would do the same, in the name of anything, including whatever god they believe in? People may fight and die "for their country" but unless they know they are being sent out with no chance of returning, I don't see any of them volunteering to blow themselves up. In our culture, it is the luck of the draw, the cards you are dealt, being in the right place at the right time that gives one hope that in the worst of it, you'll be the one to make it out alive. Would you fall on a live grenade to save your buddies? Of course, no question about it. That isn't a planned deed no more than diving under the ice to save a person is planned. That is instinct. Suicide bombers plan their deaths.

Terrorists = chaos. How do you begin to have a defense against people who will blow themselves up? We don't and that is a one of 522 good reasons we should never have invaded any country. What should have been our government's first clue? Well, maybe the suicide bombers on 9/11? Did they need to drop pamphlets first to tell us that they were free lancing and not representing a particular country? Could the government not figure that out? I'm sorry --- I digress.

This evil email is no more than you'd hear on any late night show, SNL, Mad TV or Comedy Central. If the sender is a "supposed" Christian, what does that mean? If you say you are a Christian then God forbid that you laugh at observational humor?

You say you are a Christian but........
You say you are a Democrat but........
You say you are a mother but.........
You say you are patriotic but........

I would say the lesson for the emailer and for me in other ways, is to not announce to the world that you are against sex outside of marriage only to be caught with your knickers around your ankles up against a wall in your basement with your neighbors husband. Love thy neighbor won't work in that situation. Don't say you abhor violence in movies on one hand and then say that your favorite movie was The Godfather. If the emailer had said to the friend of the poster ------ "I'm a Christian," she could have added to that "I like the verse 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' That "all" includes me and always will. Repenting doesn't mean I'm perfect nor will I ever be without sin. Sin is sin in the eyes of God. Whether it be a lie or stealing or adultery or murder. Sin displeases him but it doesn't mean you are disowned. Forgiveness is what keeps me going."

Now, had horrible emailer given that disclaimer maybe she wouldn't have been judged. She didn't though, so there you have it.
