One of the most prominent US House of Representatives Republicans on military issues says he will try to scuttle a Dubai-based company's effort to operate American ports. This comes as lawmakers' complaints about the Bush administration's handling of the issue spread.

"Dubai cannot be trusted," said Duncan Hunter, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and normally one of the administration's most trusted allies.
