the election. I'm in Kentucky. We were debating several issues and the issue of abortion came up when I pointed out the likelihood of Bush appointing SCOTUS judges. She amazingly backed away from that angle, and simply said, "while I can't say I'm supportive of abortion, I really don't want to see it made illegal. But I don't believe that will happen, ever."

Honestly, I think this was a commonly held belief by many, many Bush voters. They don't feel it should be illegal because they acknowledge the reality of the situation. They also felt that we were being alarmists, that it would never happen. I wonder if they're happy now. WE TRIED TO TELL THEM.
