Fair trade to help people have a better life, priming the money pump from the ground up, all over the globe.

The difference is, I think that most Democrats do care about that and that is their long term goal. The trade agreements were a way to get the ball rolling. With a Democrat in office now, we would be getting into serious negotiations about Kyoto, labor rights, etc. Please don't even pretend to tell me that John Kerry attended every single global environmental summit for kicks.

What I don't believe is that Lou Dobbs cares about anything except a handful of US businesses keeping control of the money train. He's upset about 235 ships out of 10,000 because it's a loss of US power, he's afraid we're giving away our power and prestige as a country. You and I are afraid that the power has been turned over to 700 billionaires, with NO governmental regulation at all, leaving the people all over the world both powerless and broke. With Dobbs, as long as the US has the money and power, he's fine. Bad bad world view, it completely denies the exploitation that we've done since the inception of the country. See the difference? Lou Dobbs and his ilk are not our friend. Totally different goals, totally different routes to get there.
