Of course there's a difference between Miers and Fisher--the religious right won't fuss about Alice Fisher. But this attempt to manipulate the justice system by installing another crony will make a tasty morsel for the media to chew on while we wait for Abramoff to name names. (A year ago I wouldn't have thought anybody in the corporate media would report on it; now it would surprise me if they don't.)
