This is my personal opinion only, but I feel that once we possessed microscopes to see at a sub-atomic level and telescopes to see past the bounds of our galaxy, the need for a god to explain things evaporated.
Even with the blunders of Iraq and Katrina - this stands out as one of the most asinine actions taken by the boy-king's adminstration...
Gonna shake my head intermittantly all day over this one.
