Once the hit men, then the jackals cannot convince the country in question to allow national corporations to control their natural resources for loans etc. the military is the next tool for convincing them. This is how our global, empirical, capitalism works. It is such a blow to understand this and feel so hopeless to do anything about it, let alone try to explain it to anyone.
