Because the risk is too high? Man has been custom breeding crops and animals for thousands of years, this just expands our ability to do within a time frame more relevant to modern life.

So it isn't profitable for a corporation to do proper testing under the current legal system. What I'm saying is change the system so that corporations face stronger liability should their genetically modified organisms cause damage of any kind.
