I agree with you that we need to keep building our own media networks. But I think my sarcasm about the networks wasn't clear enough.

However I also believe we should challenge the Media Bastards full throttle and start demanding that they move back towards the center. The sickening fact is that the MSM has a big role in setting the agenda and steering public perceptins -- and therefore the outcome of politics.

People who are moderate-to-left are AT LEAST half the country. Add in the conservatives who are fed up or worried about the current administrations (libertarians against illegal wiretapping, for example) make it more than half.

Those bastards have to stop taking our half of the country for granted. From the standpoint of democracy we must be equally represented. And from a purely pragmatic standpoint, we are half of theior potential audience. Their ratings are already anemic -- one of thee days they wll realize that they are blowing it by alienating at leat half their customers.
