16. Yes I hate holy than thou anything.
I find it truly an obnoxious stand usually reserved for those who cannot fathom that others have different life experiences and priorities. And they come in all shades of the political spectrum. I tend not to run into as many leftist holier than thou than those on the right (I live in Florida) but they are out there. They tend to be ticked of by culture issues more than politics (where we tend to agree) To use one example I run into to a lot of progressive film and literature snobs. My idea of a good foreign film is one directed by Jess Franco not a Bosnian coming of age film about a sheep. And I think that writers should be able to write about anything they want not be restricted to their own gender and ethnicity. Other examples of Holier than thou include the fact that I drive a car to work, prefer to date comely woman who are not always politically correct, own my own business, and here is the terror, hide the children people, I play golf. I have been told that playing golf is an racist elitist republican activity that destroys the environment and society as a whole and I can't be a good progressive unless I hand over my clubs. Whatever. (Ironically golf is the one activity that allows me to drive an electric car around)So from a culture point of view at least I have been told I am a bad progressive. How this helps our cause is beyond me.
