bathrooms and everything. I remember having to ride in the back of the bus and not being able to go everywhere. I remember a homeless white bum hollering "nigger" across the street to me when I was 17 walking down the street. I remember driving to Alabama once to pick up my husband in the late 70's and pulling up in front of a corner store to get directions and they turned the closed sign around.
