8. Boxer asking about the "with us or against us" statement
Edited on Thu Jul-27-06 11:32 AM by Solly Mack
by Bush regarding terrorism ( a preface for her point)

Boxer giving out stats on deaths/wounded since that remark and mounting money cost

her point:

why are giving money to Iraq when they aren't with us? (based on Iraqi PM comments and ambassador comments)

OK. Sorry...but what is happening in Iraq is people being killed under the guise of spreading democracy and I can't pretend it's not...my conscience will not allow me to do so.

Yes, I fully understand the strategy being used. It's not as if it's hard to grasp.. it's not even a case of it not being obvious or predictable. The GOP strategy is also obvious and predictable (in regards to responses of the Iraqi PM's comments and how that speaks to the entire Iraqi/Bush policy mess...one side screaming Iraq is a democracy (making Bush's invasion of Iraq a success) and the PM remarks prove it...the other side is saying, Bush created a country that is in contradiction to America's interests and Bush's war on terror..that American blood and American money were spent to create a government that supports terrorism)

Bush lied and America illegally invading a country. America is now illegally occupying that same country. America has committed war crime on top of war crime in Iraq...and not just in Iraq either. I can't pretend to embrace any other reality.
