I can't imagine being faced with the horror and destruction that soldiers in any war are faced with. When they were talking about the young man who was burned over 90% of his body and all the details involved in treating some of these patients and the medical staff that cares for them, I was truly horrified at the mental imagery and empathized with them so strongly even tho I have no way of knowing the depth of their pain. I salute all that have the courage to face that battle and win. That takes some special stuff that I don't think I possess.

I'm off to bed now. I haven't slept well the last three nights and tonight I'm making sure that I do.
