41. I missed Colbert's performance last night and this Sunday morning I am
watching a press correspondent on C-Span's Washington Journal, (Byron York of the National Review) and according to him...the Bush routine was "SO MUCH FUNNIER" than Colbert's.

C-Span showed a short selection of Bush's impersonator telling incredibly painful and corny jokes about Cheney shooting the lawyer, etc. Each one was worst than the one before.

Well, thank you for posting the text of Colbert's segment because as all of you have posted in this thread, it IS absolutely brilliant and I do hope they will show this performance on C-Span as a re-run, because I would love to see it! I can't BELIEVE he got away with the complete delivery of the material without being dragged off stage "with the hook!" What I really want to see is the audience reaction to his performance and to each of his "zingers."

Unfortunately, my present computer is so ancient that I am lucky to just get on line, to say nothing of trying to watch a video.
