The way you don't back slide is to not have the first puff.
You are the one who lights the match and bends the elbow.

The first step to continuing doing well is recognizing it is not easy, or all who want to stop would succeed.
That it is hard should not be a surprise. Every 5 min you don't think about it is a baby step to success.

The day you realize at 10 am you have not yet thought about a cigarette is when you are on your way.

You are always going to be vulnerable to them. I used to smoke 2 packs a day for 30 years, and have not had a puff since 5/5/1998, if I did, I would one day in the future have to quit again.

It's tough, you will want to rip out hair and hit your forehead on the wall.
Do that. Just don't smoke.

There is life after cigarettes.
I'm proof.
