This one is somewhat subtle for Americans...it really means "May you die alone and friendless, so much so that no one comes to bury you (or notice that you are dead) or even to take care of your starving cat", a terrible curse for a people as communal as the Irish traditionally have been! As well as being a rather nasty image...
Notice that for the most part, Irish doesn't have "bad" words; they just import English terms for that! :toast:
