On a long trip like that, you take your chances and make the best of the conditions presented. And that you did. Should you go back again because you didn't get what (you thought) you wanted? Probably not. Because of the limitations you shot things you would not ordinarily have shot. Without the limitations, you would have shot what you admit others have shot. I'd say the trip was a success.
