Opinion on CNN.com June 1:
Consider the ongoing controversy over Sen. Jean-Francois Kerry's military service in the faraway Vietnam War. You doubt that the controversy is ongoing? Just last Sunday, a front-page story in The New York Times reported that some of Kerry's supporters during his ill-fated 2004 presidential campaign are endeavoring to prove him a war hero with an unblemished record of heroism. Their targets are the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

WASHINGTON (CREATORS) -- The comic career of Senator Jean-Francois Kerry is picking up steam, or gas, as the case may be. This inveterate windbag is, according to the New York Times, reopening the Swift Boat controversy of 2004 that did such damage to his presidential prospects when hundreds of the Vietnam War veterans who served with him deflated his reckless boasts of military gloire. He has undertaken this quixotic mission claiming that he can repristinate his military record despite the Swifties' evidence against it. Then the delusory senator from Massachusetts seems to think he will be a shoo-in for the presidency in 2008.

Did this trash really pass CNN’s cut for constructive opinion, even along different ideological lines? I come across a lot of disgusting opinions on the Internet. Is CNN prepared to print those as well? What if the hate mongers call themselves nationally syndicated journalists?
I am disgusted by what appears to be callous disregard for truth and willful support of lies. Also, unless your editors haven't notice my point, this is a hate piece! Disguising it as commentary is disingenuous as best.
I am embarrassed by the obvious and pathetic desperation the writer displays as he quotes his own dubious publication as if it was an independent source for the following accusation:
"Now these veterans are being harassed by the senator's supporters with crank calls in the night and venomous postings on the liberal website HuffingtonPost.com."
Evidently I was right about CNN as it appears this single lie-laden piece has become a recurring fixture on your site. As an organization, it's clear that CNN does not value truth and objectivity, and I question the motives behind this author's despicable claims appearing on your site twice in less than a month's time. I can only assume that your organization is intent on endorsing lies and smears.
