working the problem, sometimes staying at work all alone, just plugging away. That wonky quality is what I like about him. He shows up well prepared and stays until his last question is answered.
He took so much grief for BCCI. The MA folks didn't really understand it at the time and Kerry was criticized by some for being "Senator to the World." (Billy Bulgers words, not mine.) That case didn't really help him out politically (I remember the criticism of the time, that Kerry should stick to domestic problems and try to get his staff to give better constituent services. And he made the Dem leadership nervous. They thought of him as too ambitious and to much of a loose cannon in the Seante.) But, damn it, that stuff was important. It showed who was scamming the system and Kerry was so offened by people who do that and lie.
I really like that pic. That's a keeper.
