Floyd Holt
Branch of service: United States Army (USA)
Unit: 4th ID
Rank: Spc
Home: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Served in: Ft.Carson Co, Ft.Sill OK, Kuwait, Balad Iraq

I have served in Ft.Sill OK, Ft.Carson Co, Kuwait and Balad Iraq. After serving in Iraq in 2005 and 2006 I really felt that this war was wrong, and being fought for the wrong reasons. All the death and destruction for what? Anyway after returning to the states I began to seek out people who felt the same way I did. I soon found IVAW. I'm still active duty which limits what I can do but my heart is all in. I have currently received orders to Ft Carson's WTU (Worrier Transition Unit) and am going through a MEB for PTSD and Depression. Hopefully the board will find me unfit for further military duty, considering another deployment would just make my conditions worse. I also fight the battle of having to see many of my close friends deploy for the second third and fourth time. Enough is enough ! I want to help other veterans and my self by talking and finding a way to make our voices heard, deal with the anger and bring everyone home. We can and will stop this occupation !

uhc comment: Welcome home, Brother. Stay safe. Peace.
