However we each "bloom"/manifest those powers/spiritual gifts at a different rate. For example some may be clairaudiant first..some may be clairvoyant, etc.
However it is usually as in the case of "Seeing" that we first learn to "feel" energy and we might also experience separate and intermittent flashes of "Seeing" the energy we are feeling. We can also sometime See without Feeling or Feel the energy field without being able to See it.
Seeing can be with a combination of the physical eyes with the Third eye (which is what and how I teach "Seeing" as it helps for everyone to be able to see the exact same thing) or it can be strictly a Third eye thing or even strictly a intuitive thing (knowing).
There can be any combination at first but as we grow and become stronger it begins to be more consistent and stronger and easier.
Once one begins "Seeing" with the physical eyes in conjunction with the Third eye you will see auras all the time. You get used to that too.
So what I am saying here is: First comes Feeling, then comes Seeing ....Usually..but not always.

Here is an exercise to feel your own or another persons energy field.
First clap the palms of your hands together sharply a few times. This is to aggravate the nerves and make your hand more sensitive (later on you don't need to do this) and ..holding one palms still..move the top tips of your fingers about an inch (more or less..you can experiment) above the palm you are holding still...gently "comb" the air above your hand with your fingertips.
You can clap several times again and this time slowly "Pat" the air between your finger tips without touching the palms together and feel how thick the "air" gets.
If you have someone to practice on...clap your hands together again several time (you can also shake your hands a bit) and starting at the top of a persons body ( about two-four inches away from the body..you need not touch the body)...softly "pat" the air above their body until you can feel a thickness to the air. Then slowly draw your hands down and try to feel out with your hands as you comb through their energy field.
It's a lot like using an invisible comb that as you move your light fibers through their energy field...you can feel in your palm the vibrations of the energy field you are passing through..
