Concidence vs Meaningful Event

Sheila T proposed starting this thread in the post about the mountain lion, so here it is.

Do you perceive events around you as coincidences or meaningful events? Reminds me of a scene from the movie Signs, where Mel Gibson asks Joaquin Phoenix the same question, only refers to them as miracles rather than meaningful events. Joaquin proceeds to relate what I find to be a hilariously juvenile story about an event which he perceived to be a miracle.

But in his circumstances in that story, I would have felt the same way. I believe in the meaningful events, for sure, every time.
