if you are not sure of what direction to move in to simply ask your guides for assistance. I found it helpful to issue a daily declaration something like

"I wish to move forward."

Your guides will know you quite well and they will understand your situation and your karmic entanglements. They will also have your highest good at heart. You must trust though and release egoic control over things for this to be most effective.

I found also that apologizing to my older child and admitting my culpability in things helped heal wounds almost instantly.
