You're quite right about that. We have nothing to compare. The only abalone we get our here is the small stuff .... and its always frozen.


I do it every now and again ... but mostly my attitude toward the abalone we get out here is 'eh'.

Of course our lobster (lawbstah) is better. Ours is the king of lobsters. Everything else is just big shrimp!


But ...... you gotta admit ...... dungeness is just a wannabe blue crab.

And I dunno .... but I think those Long Island Blue Points - and surely those Tighlman Islands - beat most from the left coast ..... but I could just be prejudiced.
