6. Mulled Wine
This is a recipe best made in a large pot and shared with lots of people. :) You can vary it according to taste. Sometimes I don't even put in the apple juice.

- A large jug of red wine (preferably Livingston Cellers Red Rose)
- one quarter to half a bottle of apple juice
- 1-2 apples
- 1-2 oranges
- cloves
- nutmeg, cinnamon, & cinnamon sticks, to taste
- a few shots of whiskey (optional)

Put the wine in the BIG pot. Add the apple juice. Put some cloves in the skin of the apples and oranges. Slice them up and put them in the pot. Add the spices and a few cinnamon sticks. Heat it up! Don't boil, but let it get hot and then keep it warm. Most of the alcohol will burn off so if you want it to have an extra kick add a shot or two of whiskey.
