but carmalized some yellow onion in the butter...along the way I added a little red pepper and cardomon because that suits my tastes... and then I did puree the whole kit-n'- cabootle.
Thanks for your help. The soup was great!
I am thinking a garnish of very thinly sliced roasted red pepper or maybe wilted "spring mix" would make that suitable for impressing the "right" people.
