There came a sound that was familiar to me but not in our house. It was like a big electric motor connected to a hydrolic pump. It did not last long, just a few seconds and then it would do it again. We looked all over the house and finally I heard it in the middle of a bedroom wall. Opposite that wall was a kitchen cabinet. It was my pager which was supposed to be off but was on vibrate. It was touching the wall which was acting like a resonant chamber.
