But absolutely, diet is central to developing cancer or not. Capsicum (hot peppers) are proven to lower the rate of many cancers, specifically digestive cancers/prostate cancer.
Curry and turmeric prevent cancer. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower are anti-cancerous foods.

Just to name a few.
