30. That's why I said forget all the nasty genocide and stuff.
None of the supposed history of Israel happened. (Well, nothing before the Babylonian captivity at least. And none of the events in the life of Jesus either - not the census or the slaughter of the innocents.)

But even in the realm of allegory, the idea of the divine slaveholder is just abhorrent. I don't approve of being owned, not by god or anybody else. I'm glad that so far as we can tell, it's not true.
