says that when he is working, he is a true professional. He shows up on time, he learns his lines, hits his mark and is congenial to his fellow actors and the crew. He seems to get into trouble when the show is on hiatus. I think he's probably one of those types of addicts who needs to be working just to maintain some semblence of sobriety. Another famous example is Ringo Starr. Despite not having had a major solo hit record in decades, Ringo, who is a recovering alcoholic, still maintains a heavy recording and touring schedule. His records don't sell but because he was a Beatle (and shares in the lucrative earnings the Beatles continue to make), he feels that work keeps the demons at bay. Maybe it is the same for Charlie.
