I generally love reading informative books on how government/upper class/anything with power is screwing the people financially/health-wise/environmentally, but as you would expect, it gets depressing.

Anything good out there with a positive message? Maybe offering a good way to handle any of the depressing crap? It's good to get pissed off but not to the point of feeling hopeless.
