If that's the case, here are some of my favorites:
M.C. Beaton's Agatha Raisin series (which should be read chronologically)

Sharon Fiffer's Jane Wheeler mysteries about an antiques picker

Patricia Harwin's mysteries. After divorce, a retired librarian in her 60s, moves to the Cotswolds.

Sarah Graves mysteries. She writes about a Financial District professional, Jacobia Tiptree. She moves to Maine, buys an old home and is raising her teen son, Sam, after her divorce.

I'd like to try out Laura Childs's "tea shop" mysteries, too. http://www.laurachilds.com

Thanks for the reminder of Page's books. I read one, returned it to the library and neglected to jot down her name.
