Note from editor of Voting News.

I've been away from DU because of an illness in my immediate family.
The voting news has continued to be published at its site thanks to the hard work of Sean Flaherty of www.VerifiedVoting.org

My Momma passed yesterday, January 21st, around 7:45 AM at the Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. I was with her at the time. It was peaceful and she was not in pain.

Mom lived with me and my daughter for the past 10 years, and she was an important part of our daily life. I am grateful to the hospice for making sure that Mom was comfortable and not suffering.

On Saturday Momma's remains will be interred next to our father at Monte Vista Park in Bluefield West Virginia.

I am grateful that I had the opportunity to have my Mom with me for the past 10 years.

Sean will continue to publish the news until I'm ready to "come back". He's been doing a great job and we are grateful to him and to the folks at Verified Voting.
