36. unofficial microcosm study agrees....

I saw this in the small town I grew up in. 2000 people officially, 11 churches. We got Cable service in the mid 80's, when I was 13 or so. Until that time we had 2-6 channels, depending on your antenna! Lol. In the last 20 years, I have seen the churches decline, the young people now travel to the cities constantly, while the elders still stay in town (unless forced to go to the city for med. attention.) So the elders seem to have dug in to to old ways and beliefs, while the younger have had to 'catch up' with modern society. The 'freer' the kids get, the more afraid the elders get, because at the same time, they are being bombarded by MS spin. Right before the election, my grandmother attended a meeting at her church (Lutheran). They brought in a speaker who scared the begeezes out of all these old ladies. My Mom had to sit her down and explain the the Muslims don't hate Christians, and they are NOT all out to kill us! Luckily, she is a very smart, strong woman, and once she was told some facts, she calmed down. Now, she's mad too! And look out for my Gran when she's Mad!!! We need to help educate them, once their fear is replaced by anger at the Government that has ruined their country, we can take our country back.
