Election panel hears proposed fixes

Denver Post Staff Writer

For the first time since November's vote, election officials on Thursday acknowledged some of the problems that need fixing.

Secretary of State Donetta Davidson said some felons out on parole voted, and the election manual used to train judges was confusing.

Her 15-member Blue Ribbon Election Panel convened Thursday, and Davidson laid out some of her goals to "assure the fairness, accuracy and transparency of the process."
