on Jan. 6 (with tickets that the Mister and I had to order up about 10 months in advance). The vote certification got totally eclipsed by the Alberto Gonzales hearings, which JS really took on big time.
Also, JS's guest that evening was Professor Howard Zinn, leftist historian. The HZ interview I saw was lengthy and thoughtful, and Jon had obviously read and taken to heart much of Howard Zinn's new book. I'm sure that the interview got edited down to fit into a small time window.
I'd say Jon is doing A-OK for the cause of truth and right. I love that guy-- enough to go to NYC in the dead of winter to see him live, and to schlep his big book all over the city to get it autographed for my elderly mother-- who loves Jon Stewart even more than I do.
The Daily Show packs a pretty big punch, especially for a fake news show with only about 17 minutes of actual air time Mon-Thurs. I now know firsthand that JS is just as funny and intelligent when he's live and unscripted as he is when he's reading off a teleprompter.
Anyone who says bad stuff about Jon Stewart is a big, fat, Tucker Carlson-esque d*@k.
